The Thundering Herd women's basketball team jumped out to an 18-point first half lead and held on for an 82-72 win over UT Arlington Tuesday evening at the Cam Henderson Center. Sophomore Tynikki Crook was once again the star for the Herd (5-1), scoring a career high 22 points while tallying five rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Senior Casey Baker recorded a rare triple-double as the Marshall women's basketball team downed the DT-3 All Star Team by a 71-56 score Saturday evening at the Cam Henderson Center. Baker, who came close to a triple-double on several occasions last season, scored 14 points, grabbed 13 boards while dishing out 10 assists in the win.

BOONE, N.C. - Down five with 2:32 left in the game, the Thundering Herd women's basketball team, helped by five late points from Alix Barnette, came back to defeat Appalachian State, 67-65, Friday evening at the Holmes Center.With the deficit at five points, Barnette hit a three with 2:08 remaining to cut the lead to two and with 1:11 left, Chantelle Handy connected on a lay-up to tie the game.
