Essendon: Essendon commences coach appointment process
Essendon Football Club today announced the process by which the Club's next senior coach would be appointed. The Club has formed a selection panel consisting of Essendon's CEO Ian Robson, General Manager of Football Operations Paul Hamilton and former player Scott Lucas.

Essendon trio Dustin Fletcher, Brent Stanton and Jobe Watson have been nominated for the AFL Player's Association Most Valuable Player Awards. The AFLPA MVP Awards, which are to be held on Monday night in Melbourne, are fast becoming one of the most respected and prestigious awards in football.
Essendon: Hurley collects votes at NAB Rising Star
Essendon key position player Michael Hurley has finished with two votes at this year's NAB AFL Rising Star awards at Crown Palladium. Jake Melksham also secured a Rising Star nomination this season but did not poll in the final votes. The Ron Evans Medal was awarded to Dan Hanneberyfrom the Sydney Swans who finished a clear winner with 45 votes.
Essendon: Watson, Fletcher named in All Australian squad
Essendon captain Jobe Watson and veteran defender Dustin Fletcher have been recognised for solid individual performances this season with both players being named in the All-Australian 40-man squad last night. It is the first time Watson has been selected for the squad. Fletcher haspreviously been selected in 2000 and 2007.

Assistant coach Scott Camporeale said the Bombers - who were without 17 players through injury – tried hard but were ultimately unable to match the more experienced Bulldogs.
